How early should we book?

​

As early as possible, especially for weekend dates in peak seasons (Sept–April). But if you’re planning something spontaneous or low-key, reach out — I’ll do my best to fit you in.

Are you authorised to perform legal marriages?

​

Yes! I’m a Commonwealth-registered Marriage Celebrant, authorised under the Marriage Act 1961 to legally solemnise marriages anywhere in Australia.

​

What legal documents do we need to complete?

​

The key document is the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM). It must be lodged with me at least one month beforethe ceremony and no more than 18 months in advance. I’ll also help you with:

• Declaration of No Legal Impediment

• The three official marriage certificates

All of this is handled with care and clarity.

Can you help us create a personalised ceremony?

​

Absolutely. I specialise in deeply meaningful, personalised ceremonies — whether minimalist, spiritual, poetic, inclusive, or full of ritual. I work closely with you to design something that truly reflects your story, values, and vibe.

Do you include cultural or symbolic rituals?

​

Yes. I love weaving in cultural traditions, handfastings, gemstone blessings, sand ceremonies, and more — from Celtic and Sri Lankan customs to modern spiritual expressions. Let’s co-create something unique to you.

What’s included in your fee?

​

My celebrant fee typically includes:

• An obligation-free first meeting

• Full ceremony design + unlimited edits

• Lodgement of all legal paperwork

• Use of high-quality PA system (if needed)

• Rehearsal (optional, but recommended)

• Travel within metro Melbourne

• Presentation certificate + keepsake script

Do you provide a microphone and sound system?

​

Yes — I use a portable, high-quality PA system with a lapel mic to ensure everyone can hear your beautiful words, even in the open air.

Do we need witnesses?

Yes — the Marriage Act requires two witnesses over 18 to be present and sign the certificates. They don’t need to be family or citizens — just legally adults and present throughout the ceremony.
